Hi, I’m Manuel Sabin!
I’m a doing my PhD in the theory group at UC Berkeley, advised by Shafi Goldwasser and previously by Christos Papadimitriou.
I’m broadly interested in theoretical computer science and have lately been playing a bit with complexity theory and cryptography.
This blog is probably going to be an amorphous thing that evolves. But, since in graduate school there isn’t a clear distinction between life and research (especially for theoretical work), this will contain a bit of both with just as ambiguous dividing lines.
This is a meandering through ambition, math, disappointment, community, beauty, life, research, and, most centrally, personal humanity.
So, let’s get this started!
